KeyBank Partners with BlackKnight, Becomes EnterpriseClient

Black Knight Financial Services, Inc. announced recently that KeyBank will be implementing BlackKnight's LoanSphere MSP system and Portfolio Overview Insight solution. KeyBank will use MSP to service both first mortgages and home equity loans, as well as lines of credit on single platform in an effort to increase efficiency and risk management.

Wells Ranks Top Among Commercial Servicers in 2013

The Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA) released over the weekend its year-end ranking of commercial and multifamily servicers' volumes--and once again, Wells Fargo topped the list. According to MBA's numbers, Wells Fargo took the No. 1 spot with $434.4 billion in dollar volume and 33,354 in loan volume. Following it were PNC Real Estate ($369.6 billion, up from $337.6 billion the previous year) and Berkadia Commercial Mortgage ($235.4 billion, up from $197.3 billion).

Wells Fargo Ranked Top Originator for Commercial/Multifamily Mortgages

Wells Fargo has another jewel to add to its crown: The Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA) ranked the bank as the top commercial/multifamily mortgage originator for 2012. Among other categories: Bank of America Merrill Lynch was the top originator for commercial bank loans, while Red Mortgage Capital, LLC was No. 1 for loans guaranteed by Ginnie Mae or the Federal Housing Administration. Cohen Financial was the top originator for specialty finance.

MBA Nominates E.J. Burke as 2012 Vice-Chair

On Monday the Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA) released a statement announcing the nomination of E.J. Burke, a senior executive and director at KeyBank Real Estate Capital and Corporate Banking Services, as its vice-chair. Burke has more than three decades of experience in the mortgage banking business, At KeyBank, he also served as head of real estate capital markets, presiding over its commercial mortgage division as managing director.
