A New Reason to Love La Quinta?

Boasting 40 acres of land, full equestrian facilities, and six guest houses, the La Quinta, California, ""estate"":http://realestalker.blogspot.com/2012/06/merv-griffins-la-quinta-horse-ranch-up.html once belonging to Merv Griffin is now on the market for $9.5 million.

The ranch, which is located near Palm Springs, was built by Griffin and his family, and the large property is said to be entirely walled and electronically gated.

Famed decorator Waldo Fernandez designed the main house and most of the auxiliary homes, and the Moroccan-themed decor includes jewel-toned stained glass, mosaic tile work, and hammered metal trim.

For outdoorsy types, the estate also includes pools, fishing ponds, and a 16-stall horse barn and adjacent training oval.
