Ellie Mae Announces New SVP of Engineering

Dinesh Shahane HeadshotEllie Mae, a cloud-based platform provider for the mortgage finance industry, has announced Dinesh Shahane as their SVP of Engineering. Shahane will be responsible for architecture and all horizontal technologies for Ellie Mae’s Encompass Lending Platform, including new investments in data, analytics, A.I., and machine learning.

“I am delighted to be joining Ellie Mae at this time of immense change and innovation in the mortgage industry,” Shahane said. “Ellie Mae’s focus on providing a true digital mortgage experience through a platform approach makes this a unique opportunity, and by expanding the ecosystem leveraging our platform, we’ll increase our speed of innovation and adoption of technologies that will keep us at the forefront of mortgage innovation.”

Shahane will play a key role in evangelism and adoption of the platform by Lenders, Partners, and ISVs—driving the expansion of the vast open ecosystem of Encompass developers. He also will play a pivotal role in the delivery of the full suite of Encompass Connect solutions, as well as raising the bar on quality, scalability, performance, and security of all Ellie Mae solutions.

Prior to Ellie Mae, Shahane was the Chief Technology Officer of SAP Ariba, where he led the company’s technology vision. He also chaired the Technology Advisory Board and several focus groups within the executive Customer Advisory Board. Shahane was a key member of SAP’sCTO circle, where he drove platform topics including AI and Machine Learning, Blockchain, and future Business networks.
