Parkside Lending Announces Two New Hires

Parkside Lending has announced the addition of two key staff members to support its continued, substantial growth. Robin Gilmore has been hired as EVP-Operational Strategy with responsibility for overseeing the build-out of infrastructure and tools needed for the company's expansion. She brings more than 23 years of experience in the industry to her position and has a B.S. in accounting from the University of Maryland. Gilmore's background includes positions with Kinecta, LoanDepot, Fannie Mae, and Countrywide.

"I joined Parkside because of their commitment to the wholesale space, agility, innovative technology, and plan for expansion," Gilmore said. "The deciding factor, though, was the CEO's energy and commitment to Parkside."

Within the industry, Gilmore is participating on the CMBA Western Secondary Committee and in the next Future Leaders program. She stays involved in her community by volunteering for a variety of different fundraising activities and charitable events. "I'm the one who signs-up and then pursues my friends, colleagues, and family for donations!" she said. "My husband and I have hiked Half Dome for the Leukemia society and most recently biked a metric century in Napa for ALS.”

Joann Berger has been hired as Underwriting Manager for Parkside. Berger brings 33 years of experience in the lending business to Parkside Lending, including work in underwriting, collections, escrow accounts, closings, regional training, sales and risk management.

“I’m very excited about the opportunity to make a difference and be a contributing factor in Parkside Lending’s success,” Berger said.  “It’s rejuvenating to be working for a company that strives to be the best.”

In addition to making a difference at work, Berger actively gives back to the community. “I work with local Detroit charities, volunteering for events and providing sporting and entertainment opportunities. We host a summer event for 120 guests representing five local charities. The kids enjoy a pizza party followed by a Detroit Tigers game. This will be our ninth year hosting this event.”
