Massachusetts-based lender Mortgage Master, Inc., has hired a new leader for its sales division. The company recently announced the appointment of Donald Henig as Mortgage Master’s national sales director.

In his role for Mortgage Master, Henig will be responsible for heading up a 250-person sales organization that encompasses 30 branch offices. The company, which specializes in non-bank mortgage originations, will implement national online and branch-based sales strategies under Henig’s direction.

Most recently, Henig was the managing director for Recovco Mortgage Management, a forensic underwriting firm that works with the country’s largest mortgage lenders. Henig is also well known as the founder of the New York Association of Mortgage Brokers, and he gained additional recognition as the first broker to serve on the Board of Governors for Mortgage Bankers of America.

Commenting on Henig’s hiring, Mortgage Master’s CEO, Leif Thomsen, said, “Don’s breadth of experience in the mortgage banker business and his demonstrated ability to create a positive sales culture in small and large organizations make him a perfect leader for our company, He managed divisions representing $60 billion of annual originations at American Home Mortgage.  His ability to grow origination expertise and bringing that large company experience into Mortgage Master will help us grow to the next level.”

Adding his thoughts on joining the Mortgage Master team, Henig noted, “The factor that really attracted me to Mortgage Master is the talented sales team.
